They are the lifeblood of the organization and each year JAN-PRO Systems International corporate teams and JAN-PRO Franchise Development regional developers come together to celebrate Certified Business Owners that have contributed in remarkable ways.
Their life affirmation stories of how they came to own their own businesses, the differences they’ve made to their and their families lives, the contribution they make every day to their communities and the dedication they show to their clients, is truly inspirational.
In September this year, the 2019 and 2020 Certified Business Owner of the Year winners were recognized and celebrated at an Awards Gala at the InterContinental Buckhead Atlanta. The gala provided the opportunity to share their individual paths to success and the impact they’ve had in their communities.

Porfirio Sisters are doing it for themselves!
Four sisters are working together to change the lives of their families and have made a tremendous contribution to their clients in San Diego. They joined JAN-PRO Cleaning & Disinfecting in January 2008 to fulfill their ambition of owning their own business. Elvira, Laticia, Maricela and Bernarda are all strong businesswomen and leaders in the Latino community. Always willing to help and take on new challenges with professionalism, ensures that their business continues to grow from strength to strength.
But it didn’t just happen overnight. As four single moms, their aspiration of achieving a better life work balance for themselves and their families, inspired them to start their own company. Their journey to success included learning about setting up their own business, understanding business management, managing people and more.
Elvira, Lecitia, Maricela and Bernard told us, ‘We have grown in so many ways since 2008, and we are so sure that we made the right decision by choosing JAN-PRO. As strong women, owning our own business gives us a platform to have our voices heard and empowers us to be a great example to others – especially women – in our community.”

Kelvin joined JAN-PRO Cleaning & Disinfecting, January 2015 and being a Certified Business Owner has impacted and changed his life in many ways. Kelvin’s journey with JAN-PRO Cleaning & Disinfecting started with only himself and one employee, and he’s quickly grown that to 19+ employees today. He’s tenacity, business sense and passion for owning his own business ensured that he grew his business by over 200% within 2 years from starting. His drive comes from his life experiences and his vision for being a major contributor to his family and community.
Kelvin’s dream and focus is to continue to grow his business with the support of the team at JAN-PRO Franchise Development of Richmond/Charlottesville. His success is routed in going above and beyond to provide an exceptional service to his customers while simultaneously focusing on the development of his teams.
Celia Perdomo is making a difference every day!
After escaping her home country with her husband and three children in hopes of a safer life in America, Celia Perdomo was forced to begin her life again. With what little belongings and funds the family managed to bring with them, the Perdomo’s quickly learned that their money could only take them so far. Every parent’s worst fear was quickly becoming a reality as Celia and her husband realized they would not be able to provide the safety and support their children needed to succeed in their new life. This was when Celia and Nathalie Kleiner’s paths crossed, and their lives changed forever.
With Nathalie, Daniel, and the entire team at JAN-PRO Franchise Development of Southeast Florida’s support, Celia jumped into owning her own commercial cleaning business. Through resilience and dedication, Celia soon become JAN-PRO of Southeast Florida’s “go-to-girl”, and her initial check has increased exponentially over the years. Even more impressively, Celia has continued to grow professionally and personally – today she’s not only providing a new life for her family, but also providing opportunities for others to grow with her on her janitorial team.

He is a natural leader and business owner who supports not only his family but also his growing team through professional development and growth opportunities. He and his team have continued to see more than 5% revenue growth yearly and continues to meet and exceed his clients’ expectations.
Sean never shies away from a new business opportunity, and he has successfully managed a cleaning crew responsible for cleaning at the highest altitude JAN-PRO Cleaning & Disinfecting has every tackled before at the top of Pikes Peak in Colorado.
